The Soundhouse Winter Festival is a new 5-day music festival taking place this winter in Edinburgh. Produced by the Soundhouse Organisation it will incorporate performances by some of the very best musicians from Scotland, showcase some of the most exciting newcomers, and offer a full programme of workshops over the weekend.
“In 40 years of festival going I do not think I’ve ever known a venue to present such a diversity of Scottish musical talent. Not marching bands or lone pipers but gifted performers ranging across genres, all products of our rich musical culture.” This was the reaction of Sunday Times journalist Alex Bell to a month of gigs Soundhouse promoted during the Edinburgh Festival 2023. We showcased a whole host of musical acts based in Scotland – across jazz, folk, indy and classical – and audiences loved it.
So when better to repeat the exercise than around St Andrew’s Day? Our first Winter Festival happened in 2024 and we are gearing up for our second iteration. 2025 dates are Thursday 27 November to Monday 1 December and daytime events on the weekend. The whole shee-bang will be a Fair Saturday fundraiser, so that any profits will help to support Soundhouse’s musical programme in 2026.
See you there!
